Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Who we are
Kitchenly ("we", "us", "our") is building a neighbourhood marketplace for homemade food, currently in pre-launch in the UK and Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Kitchenly waitlist and website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email us at hello@getkitchenly.net.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- The audience you signed up as (general, home chef, or customer) so we can tailor our launch email.
- The date and time you joined the waitlist.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, addresses, payment details or tracking data from the waitlist form. The site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
Why we use it
We use your email solely to tell you when Kitchenly launches in your area and, where relevant to the audience you selected, to share early-access details and onboarding information. We do not sell your data or share it with third-party marketers.
Lawful basis
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and your opt-in under PECR for electronic marketing. Submitting the waitlist form is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time — see "Your rights" below — without affecting the lawfulness of anything we did before you withdrew.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until Kitchenly launches in your area plus a reasonable follow-up window, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If you never engage with our launch email, we will delete your record.
Who processes your data
Our website and waitlist are hosted on Lovable Cloud, which acts as our data processor and stores waitlist entries securely on our behalf. Our infrastructure providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and EU Standard Contractual Clauses) apply.
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Receive a portable copy of your data.
- Object to or restrict our processing.
- Complain to a supervisory authority — the ICO in the UK, or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@getkitchenly.net. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Cookies
The public site uses only essential storage needed for the waitlist form to function and, for site administrators, to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Kitchenly evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
