Terms of Service
Last updated 11 September 2026
Kitchenly is a marketplace that connects home cooks in the UK with people who want to pre-order home-cooked food. By using Kitchenly you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Kitchenly ("we", "us") operates this website and marketplace. You can reach us at hello@getkitchenly.net.
2. What Kitchenly does and does not do
Kitchenly provides the tools for cooks to list Food Drops and for customers to pre-order and pay. Cooks sell in their own name. Kitchenly is not the seller, producer or supplier of any food listed on the platform, and does not prepare, handle or deliver food.
Kitchenly does not certify, inspect or approve cooks on behalf of any local authority or regulator. Our internal review only checks that a cook has provided the information we ask for before they can sell.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Keep your login details secure and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
4. Cook responsibilities
If you sell through Kitchenly you are running your own food business. You are responsible for meeting all legal obligations that apply to you, including registering your food business with your local authority, food hygiene and safety practices, accurate allergen and ingredient information, correct labelling, and any tax you owe on your earnings.
You must only list food you can safely prepare and fulfil, honour the Food Drops you publish, and give customers accurate collection or delivery details. We may remove listings or suspend accounts where we have concerns about safety, accuracy or conduct.
5. Customer responsibilities
Orders on Kitchenly are pre-orders: you pay upfront and collect (or receive) the food at the time the cook has set. Please check allergen and ingredient information before ordering, and contact the cook if you are unsure. If you have a serious allergy, treat home-kitchen food with appropriate caution — cross-contamination cannot be ruled out.
6. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are set by the cook and shown in pounds sterling. Payment is taken at the time you order, through our payment provider. Kitchenly charges the cook a service fee on each order; the amount shown at checkout is the total you pay.
An order is confirmed once payment succeeds. If a Food Drop sells out or a cook has to cancel, we will let you know and arrange a refund.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Because food is prepared to order, each cook sets their own cancellation policy for a Food Drop, including whether cancellations are accepted and the deadline. That policy is shown before you pay.
If a cook cancels, or the food is not made available, you receive a full refund. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and can take a few working days to appear. If something goes wrong with an order, contact us at hello@getkitchenly.net and we will help.
8. Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload, and you give us permission to show them on Kitchenly and in related promotion. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or anything misleading, unlawful or offensive.
9. Liability
Kitchenly is provided as-is and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. As we are not the seller of the food, disputes about the food itself are between the customer and the cook, though we will help where we reasonably can.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
10. Changes and closing your account
We may update these terms as Kitchenly develops, and will change the date at the top when we do. You can stop using Kitchenly at any time — email us and we will close your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
